Bus Driver Fired For Tackling Sudoku On School Run, A coach driver in Dorset has been fired for attempting a Sudoku challenge while transporting children to their school.

The unknown man was photographed by a pupil balancing a puzzle book on his steering wheel and filling in answers with a pen.

The incident happened during the early morning commute to Ferndown Upper and Middle schools, Metro reports.

“When I saw the photo I was really shocked,” the 12-year-old photographer’s mother said. “Not only was he driving, he also had children on the coach and was responsible for their safety.

“It was a big coach and could have potentially caused a lot of damage had it been involved in an accident. It wasn’t ever our intention that the driver should lose his job but we wanted to draw it to the company’s attention to make sure it never happened again.”

Cavendish Liner Coach Company suspended the driver upon hearing of the matter and chose to dismiss him following an investigation.

Ferndown Upper School said that they were “very happy” with the company’s decision.
