Bumptop:BumpTop this weekend announced that it had been acquired by Google.
More than three years ago, we decided to completely change the way of using their desktop computers. We are very grateful for your support during this time – not only financially but also through all the messages of encouragement from people who find inspiration BumpTop fun, useful and utterly alone.
Today, we have a big announcement to make: we are pleased to announce that we have been acquired by Google!
This concludes your Windows and Mac product being offered as a free download the upgrade paid. We had previously covered the launch of Mac when it was launched in January.
BumpTop 3D desktop environment based on physics that allows users to new features for organizing their desks. BumpTop offers multi-user surface in which to store files, allowing users to modify the sizes of individual elements and take advantage of several organizational characteristics, such as batteries. BumpTop also supports Multi-Touch gestures in Windows 7 for manipulating. Watch this video showing its features:
The company is still offering the free download version next week. No one knows what Google’s plans for the technology.
Apple also has been investigating the 3D desktop environments with similarities to BumpTop. Apple also has been investing in multi-touch technology found in the iPhone and IPAD.
