Bruce Campbell Evil Dead 4, Okay, primitive screw heads, listen up: a new Evil Dead movie is on the road. Talk about a new Evil Dead film has been around for a while, but as often happens with this fan-fueled hopes and dreams; there has been no real substance to anything. Until yesterday, that is, when DreadCentral.com said “good from a very reliable source” that Bob Murawski, an editor whose association with director Sam Raimi returns to the 1992 film Army of Darkness, it was Detroit to begin work on a fourth film. Evil Dead 4, according to the report, will be “a small indie thing as the first two.”
This is good news, though still a rumor – but a rumor that got a boost last night via a tweet from none other than Bruce “Ash” Campbell, B-movie legend, the best Elvis ever and, of course, the hero “” As far as going from the Evil Dead franchise.
“Believe in the remake, dawg!” wrote. “The project is real. In the works. Cool as hell. Scary as hell.”
I’m not sure if the Evil Dead films qualify as scary, but cool as hell? Of course. And the opportunity to see things breaking Campbell over his head again? Take my money, please.
UPDATE: In a tweet up, Campbell said the new Evil Dead film is actually a remake of the original Evil Dead and a completely new chapter. “. Good people My Twitter was about to remake Evil Dead – No Evil 4 Dead,” he wrote. Campbell role in the project is not yet known.
