Briana Evigan, Briana Evigan Barbara Jane (b. October 23, 1986) is an American actress and dancer. She is perhaps best known for her role as Andie West in Step Up 2: The Streets Tappan and Cassidy in Sorority Row.
Evigan was born in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of Pamela C. Serpe, a dancer, model and actress, and actor Greg Evigan. [1] [2] She is the youngest of three siblings, her brother Jason and sister Vanessa Lee [2]. She has studied dance since the age of nine. [3] She is a singer and plays keyboards in the band Moorish idol. [4] She has also undertaken a speech and communication at Los Angeles Valley College.

A professional dancer, Evigan appeared in music videos for Linkin Park, Flo Rida, T-Pain and Enrique Iglesias. She also had small roles in television series and movies such as bottom-up, something Sweet and Fear Itself.

In 2008, she landed the role of tearing Andie West in the remainder of the 2006 stage dance drama Up, Step Up 2: The Streets. The shooting took place in late 2007 in Baltimore and was released February 14, 2008. The screenplay was written by Good Luck Chuck writer Josh Stolberg and directed by Stewart Hendler. The film was budgeted at $ 12,500,000. Briana stars alongside Audrina Patridge, Rumer Willis and Jamie Chung. Sorority Row was released September 11, 2009 and debuted at No. 6 at the box office and won worldwide and 26735797. The critical reception was mixed to negative. Evigan performance was well received by critics. The main cast members of the women won a ShoWest award for “Female Stars of Tomorrow” in April 2009. The DVD release was February 23, 2010.

In February 2009, Evigan said in an interview that she signed for a remake. The film is a remake of the cult slasher horror Day of the mother and directed by Darren Lynn Bousman best known for her work with previous films such as Lionsgate’s Saw trilogy. Darryn Briana already done in an episode of Fear itself in 2008. The film will co-star AJ Cook and Jaime King. The film has suffered many rejections. No official release date has been announced. The film was part of the Festival de Cannes 2010.

In January 2009, Evigan has been confirmed by Lionsgate to star in Burning Bright. She plays the female lead, Kelly Taylor. In the film, “A young woman and her autistic brother are trapped in their house with a hungry tiger during a hurricane.” Critical reception has been overwhelmingly positive. Despite this, the film was announced to be released straight-to-DVD on August 17, 2010 [5].

In 2009, Briana has been announced the central character in the film is about romance indie drama: I love you. It describes the role of ‘Butterfly’. The film was announced in late May 17, 2010. The distributor and release is not yet announced.
