Breeders Cup 2011 Entries

Breeders Cup 2011 Entries, If you like soundbites from the coaches, you’re in luck – there was a lot of them after the current position after the draw for the Breeders’ Cup 2011. I’m not sure I ever heard a coach or an owner to testify after the drawing, “Well, that’s all. There is no way we can win!” Perhaps the closest was Bob Baffert after Lookin At Lucky drew the rail in the Derby last year. But overall, it’s pretty rare to read about a coach who does not believe his horse can overcome any ties they face.
With this in mind, here are some quotes after the post position draw (through the Breeders’ Cup World Championships).
Owner Rick Porter in Havre de Grace after drawing 10 in the Classic:
“I think we’re in the right place. Much will depend on how fast you go forward, but we are happy with it.”
Todd Pletcher in the drawing of Uncle Mo and Stay Thirsty:
“[Uncle Mo] away from the door pretty good. I think he’s doing the best they could do. We are very pleased with the way he ran in the Kelso and the way he has coached since. He established here as well and we are optimistic. It is a difficult task. We have come a long way since the beginning of May and we hope we can get all the way. I am not surprised that it was the (5-2) favorite. I expect that out of that somewhere in the range 3.1 or less.
“Stay thirsty is fine. He left his job super (Sunday). It was really strong this morning and had a high energy level. He has proven in the mile and a quarter, and I think it’s a horse that could be a great much to say at the end of it. The post is good for him. ”
Charles Dickey on all cylinders:
“We’re in the door, that’s all I care. If I could have chosen would probably have gone a little outside, but we are happy to be there. It will be up to (jockey) Alex (Solis). It’s just going to having to make a place and see how it develops rhythm.’s good. We are at the door. We run. ”
Bob Baffert in the game and the Friend request:
. “Juego de Amigo is a speed horse, so it does not matter where you request, do not need to use it until it leaves a hole that will come from off the pace anyway.”
Bob Baffert on the factor of the development of a hole in the dirt Mile:
“One of the reasons why you put (the factor) in the Mile was only in the event that attracted you. In the Sprint, it would probably be worse for him. It will not speed or anything. (Jockey) Martin (Garcia) just put it on the head and see how far he takes it.
Bob Baffert the Irish gypsy drawing of hole 1 in the F & M Sprint:
“Gypsy Irish of them all, the message is likely to hurt more. She likes to come out of it a little, but from the hole she will have to be used. Of these probably attracted the worse, because I think it is best if only a bit beyond, but at least all those horses late one will be easy to see. not have to bring my binoculars, I’ll see the railroad. ”
Bret Calhoun Chamberlain Bridge, who drew after 14 years in the Turf Sprint:
“We’ve gone from one extreme to another. I was not happy when we put out last year and everything went well. I think that 14 is better than.”
Steve Asmussen drawing in my message in the Miss Aurelia Juvenile Fillies 9:
“Great tie, giving us options.”
Barbedette Regis, assistant coach Freddy in Goldikova (IRE) Drawing on the lane mile:
“That is what we expected, the railroad, to cover the ground as possible. I just talked to the Chief Freddy on the phone and we were clapping. I said, ‘we had nothing to do with it, but still thank you. I was so happy. ”
[As a side note, I read several post-draw parts that suggest the railroad was a bad draw for Goldikova, I think it was pretty good, allowing Peslier its coverage in the early stages, while maintaining its relaxed until the final move. Sure, there's a possibility of getting in a box, but has the tactical speed to ensure a good position from the beginning. I prefer to be inside all the way out.]
Peter Eurton in Weemissfrankie drawing after 11 Fillies in the youth:
“I like the message. We have the speed inside and we will not take a lot of fly-back. There should be a good pace and that works for us. Our pilot, [Rafael] Bejarano said I was hoping to get out. “
