Breast Feeding Baby Doll Controversy

Breast Feeding Baby Doll Controversy, Many young children play with baby dolls, some of which drink bottles and some of which cry on command. But none of the dolls available in stores are ready to be breastfed. That is, until now. A new doll, about to hit shelves, brings a whole new level of realism.

Used to be dolls just wet their pants or cried. But now breast feeding is believing. The child has to wear a special halter.

There are two strategically located magnetic sensors in the halter top. When sensors in the baby detect the sensors in the top, the baby makes a sucking sound.

If this sounds vaguely familiar, maybe you heard about it when the dolls first appeared on line, sold by a Spanish company.

Well, now the dolls are coming to a store near you. Dennis Lewis with Berjuan Toys says, “We’re hopefully going to have breast feeding babies all over the States really soon.”

A prospect some may not be ready for, judging from their faces.

The doll maker says it’s just teaching young kids nurturing skills. Lewis says, “There’s absolutely nothing sexual about breastfeeding, it’s good for mommies, it’s good for babies, it’s good for society.”

the women we talked to looked askance at the idea. One woman says, “I don’t think I’m crazy about this doll.” Another says, “Too soon to be experiencing that physically.” Another says, “I think it’s ridiculous, let them be little girls.” Two more women say, “There’s actual breast milk that comes out?” and “No! Nothing comes out.”

But the doll’s intended demographic called it cool.

The doll does require juice from batteries.

The doll maker says even god supports the breast milk baby, what with all those depictions of Mary breastfeeding the baby Jesus.

But this mother was unconvinced. She says, “You know girls are very delicate at this age and they’re dealing with budding. They should not have to think about breast milk.”

“What natural part of life will they simulate next” wondered someone on Facebook.

By the way, the breast milk baby’s price is being reduced to 69.99. Batteries not included.
