Brandywine School District, (AP) – A mathematics program side of the world is used to teach mathematics to students of Brandywine School District.

Called “Singapore math,” the visual method of teaching mathematics is used for fourth through sixth grade this year and plans to call method from kindergarten to the third school year following. Finally, it will be taught in all classes in the district.

The method is popular because it uses a formula that begins with a practical example of a problem, as a number of stacking blocks. Then the instruction moves a visual before submitting an equation or problem to solve.

Teacher Allison Lee said that students are able to link and see why the different concepts relate.
