Brandon Marshall: Brandon Marshall’s Alleged Punch

Brandon Marshall: Brandon Marshall’s Alleged Punch, New Chicago Bears receiver Brandon Marshall was accused of punching a woman in the face at a New York City nightclub last weekend, and Bears general manager Phil Emery said the team knew of the accusation when it acquired Marshall from the Miami Dolphins on Tuesday.

“Both the Bears and Dolphins were aware of what occurred over the weekend,” Emery, whose team traded two third-round draft picks to the Dolphins, said in a statement. “We decided to move forward with the trade. We have high expectations for Brandon as a Bear.”

The latest alleged incident was one of many in which Marshall has been accused of wrongdoing.

Citing “law enforcement sources,” the New York Post reported that Christin Myles, 24, told police Marshall hit her in the face outside of Marquee, a nightclub in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood at 3:50 a.m. Sunday.

Myles filed a police report, and police are investigating, but Marshall has not been charged, according to the Post.

Harvey Steinberg, Marshall’s attorney, said in a statement Wednesday that Marshall, 27, did not strike the woman and that he was not involved in the alleged fight.
