Boston College Football
September 4, 2010 by staff
Boston College Football, BC is 2-1 all time against teams from Utah. The Eagles also played the Utah u & s in a brilliant 22-0 victory in 1919. BC has won 18 consecutive games against teams from lower divisions of college football, a streak that dates back to 1978.
BC won 6 of 7 games at home last season, with the only loss coming at the hands of the UNC Tar Heels. Since joining the ACC in 2005, the Eagles own a 29-5 record while playing at Alumni Stadium. BC is also 45-7 in non-conference play since 2000.
A new college football season is finally upon us. After what seems like an awfully long season, the football team from Boston College Eagles runs out the tunnel and on the lawn of Alumni Stadium for the first time since a disappointing 31-13 loss to North Carolina the last game of 2009 season at home. All eyes will be on Mark Herzlich in his return to the field for the first time since the 2008 Music City Bowl.
Dave Shinskie has been named the starting QB for the Eagles, but we hope to see a good dose of both Shinskie and fellow sophomore center Mike Marscovetra. Another thing to keep an eye on the performance of the Eagles underclassmen. Twelve of the 47 players on the roster of the Eagles two-deep are freshmen or freshmen red shirt. True freshman WLB Kevin Pierre-Louis is the only Frosh starting for the Eagles.
