Boo Cancer PSA

Boo Cancer PSA, Philly fans have a reputation to maintain. They are, after all, “the worst sports fans in America.” No need to rehash the horror stories of the fans in Philadelphia (although booing Santa Claus is still the personal favorite of this writer.) No, instead we will go down in history for Flyer fans furious. It is not surprising to find that the fans were booing Flyers opponents. Unfortunately, they were booing, while opposing players were in the scoring stage for a public service announcement on the fight against cancer.
So yes, you could say that fans were booing Philadelphia a “Hockey Fights Cancer” PSA.
According to Yahoo! Sports, the Flyers were playing the Vancouver Canucks in the Wells Fargo Center, and between periods of the giant screen ran several “hockey fights Cancer” videos. These points have popular athletes in the league, including Sidney Crosby Pittsburgh – as despicable as an athlete in the eyes of the Flyers fans like any other player ever to wear skates.
So of course when the fans boo Crosby mug appears on the screen of the stage. It is unfortunate that the star of the Penguins was urging fans to “join the fight against cancer.”
It is easy to take shooting Philadelphia fans by, say, the strong reaction. No one suggests that hockey fans in Philadelphia are in favor of cancer. But, guys, come on. Maybe tone it down a little and not be so easy.
