Bonnaroo 2012, Radiohead are amongst the first names confirmed for the 2012 instalment of American festival Bonnaroo.
Held on a 500 acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee Bonnaroo owes its origins to the ‘jam band’ scene. Growing year on year, the festival has eclipsed its roots to become one of the biggest outdoor events in the United States.
Returning this summer, Bonnaroo will run between June 7th – 10th. Radiohead have been installed as headliners, following news that the Oxford band are to play Coachella and Bilbao BBK.
Set to remain on the road for the bulk of 2012, Radiohead will be joined at Bonnaroo by fellow headliners The Beach Boys, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Phish.
The initial line up announcement contains some stellar names, including recent Grammy slaughtering project Bon Iver. The Shins are due to visit Bonnaroo, while The Roots, Flying Lotus and more fill out an eclectic line up.
Running between June 7th – 10th, tickets for Bonnaroo 2012 go on sale this Saturday (February 18th).
