Bon Iver Holocene, Wisconsin’s own Bon Iver has won two Grammys.
The Eau Claire-based experimental folk band took home the trophies for Best New Artist and Best Alternative Music Album for their second and self-titled album Sunday night.
The band was up against Nicki Minaj, Skrillex, J. Cole, and the Band Perry for Best New Artist.
They were also nominated for Record of the Year and Song of the Year for “Holocene.”
Bon Iver reportedly declined an invitation to perform at the awards ceremony, but singer Justin Vernon was there to accept the awards.
These are Bon Iver’s first Grammys.
