Bombs Found In Sebastopol Car, Sonoma County Sheriff’s officials say they found more than four dozen homemade bombs inside the car of a man who was pulled over for traffic violations in Sebastopol.

Twenty-two-year-old Robert Justin Vasseur was arrested after a sheriff’s deputy pulled him over around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday for two alleged vehicle-code violations.

Sheriff’s officials say he was taken into custody after the deputy learned his license was suspended.

Sgt. Michael Raasch says subsequent searches of his car turned up 49 handmade destructive devices, each bigger than a firecracker, and materials used to make bombs.

Authorities also searched Vasseur’s home, where they allegedly found more homemade bombs and fuses.
