Bok Center, Now entrenched in second place in the Central Hockey League’s Berry Conference Tulsa Oilers hope the recent explosion of weather hockey inspire them in their return to the BOK Center this weekend. The Oilers have 50 points and will face two teams after them in the standings. The Texas Brahmas (47 points) visit Friday and the Oilers host the Mississippi RiverKings (46 points) on Saturday. Both games start at 19.35 “It’sa great weekend for us,” Oilers coach Bruce Ramsay said. “We had the chance to put some space between us and some good teams behind us. And I know they think they have a chance to make things even tougher than they are. “
The Oilers did receive word that CHL leading scorer Chad Costello was named for Lake Erie of the AHL. Costello was up 17 points per game series at the top of the checklist in the CHL with 28 goals and 44 assists for 72 points in 46 games.
