Boat Americans Philippines, (AP) – Rescuers said they found five missing Americans aboard a sailboat that disappeared en route from Guam to the Philippines. All those on board are healthy.

Philippine Coast Guard chief Admiral Wilfredo Tamayo said a research vessel guided by a spotter plane and located on board the 38-foot (11 meter) catamaran The Pineapple after being spotted off the southern island of Dinagat. They escorted the vessel to its original destination on the central island of Cebu.

The ship was reported missing on his way to the Philippines after apparently developing engine problems.

Tamayo said the four men and one woman on board are fine.

Relatives of Americans alerted the U.S. Coast Guard as pineapple left Guam on 6 January, but had not reached Cebu.
