Boardwalk Empire, located in Atlantic City in 1920, when alcohol prohibition was passed. The unintended consequences of the ban led to a corrupt government, as well as politicians and organized crime.
Award-winning actor Steve Buscemi plays a major Enoch “Nucky” Thompson, corrupt politician responsible for the Atlantic City at the time. Thompson Nucky kind of guy you love to hate. You know he is a bstrd, but you just want more. He has no problem using his position of power in their favor. If he is making deals with criminals or get their hands dirty with a little blood, Nucky Thompson king of Atlantic City, which can not be affected.
Agent Nelson Van Alden man who tries to deny it. Played by Michael Shannon, who was nominated for an Oscar for Best Actor in the revolutionary road, Van Olden Days is the right person dedicated to the fight against corruption, to stop organized crime and enforce the ban.
Be sure to clean on Sunday afternoon for the next couple of months, and rotate the fan, as this show will be red. Also did I mention there are tons of sex, violence and alcohol? Tune in Sunday, September 19 at 9:00 pm on HBO, to verify the premiere Boardwalk Empire.
