Legend of the Blarney Stone. Some years ago I went to Ireland with my sister. We boarded a bus tour every day at Blarney Castle. We walked up the stone stairs crawling on the roof of the castle, which was the Blarney Stone. Well in fact the stone is not on the roof – it’s more like the edge of the roof! To kiss the Blarney Stone you have to do a back flip while an old man with a big smile and an Irish accent holds you – I guess that’s the case you do not fall on the edge of the château. Ha! Now this would not be so lucky, would not it?
“According to legend, kissing the stone brings the kisser with the gift of gab (great eloquence or skill at flattery). The stone was set in a castle tower in 1446″ -. Wiki
