Black Eyed Peas & Academy, The Black Eyed Peas are philanthropic, as they are talented. According to the Associated Press, the Peas announced yesterday it will open a school in New York, where teens can learn and develop skills both video and music production with professional quality equipment.

The group, along with their Peapod Foundation and the Adobe Foundation, is celebrating its fourth music and multimedia academy where the place of New York opens. The effort of the Peas’ wills open doors for children with the ambition to work in the music industry!

The Academy of New York City is located in Lower Manhattan and offers classes for student’s aged 13-19. Classes start this July. Although most children who sigh heavily at the prospect of summer school, it is a different kind of school that mocks the education and future-directed to adolescents with specific career goals.

The existing academies, called Voices of Youth, found in California in the cities of Los Angeles, Oakland and Redwood City, respectively. Peadpod Foundation is a charity group, while the Adobe Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Adobe, the software giant.
