Black Chicken, After weeks after weeks of rumors and speculation, it is now (almost) sure to not consider it official: the right of the mouth of Hugh Jackman comes news that Darren Aronofsky is in fact the direction of “Wolverine 2.”
The focus of the “Black Swan” the director of “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” sequel will be, according to Jackman, rather “outside the box” and possibly “the best so far” of all “X-Men” films starring the Australian actor so far.
“I feel that,” Jackman told New York Magazine Aronofsky enlistment in the “Wolverine” franchise. “I feel this will be very different.”
Very different. With films like “Pi” and “Requiem for a Dream” to his credit, Aronofsky is just sad and provocative. Some viewers may argue that these qualities eluded the last “Wolverine” movie, but Jackman believes that the sensitivity Aronofsky fit well with the Japan-set sequel.
“It’s ‘Wolverine’. This is not ‘Popeye’. It’s kind of dark,” said the actor. “This is a change of pace. Chris McQuarrie, who wrote” The Usual Suspects, “has written the script, so I’ll give a good clue. [Aronofsky] will do is fantastic. There will be some meat on bones. There will be something to think about when leaving the theater, of course. ”
For his part, Jackman is working hard to become rapid healing mutant adamantium-laced, from a strict regime of diet and exercise hardcr.
“I’m starting, I’m having my six meals a day,” said Jackman. “Expect to see four chicken breasts and plenty of steamed broccoli on the plate.”
