Billy Ray Cyrus 50th Birthday, Billy Ray Cyrus, the singing actor and legend of the country is perhaps best known for his role as the father of Hannah Montana (Miley), celebrates its 50th birthday today.
Throughout his career, Cyrus – a multi-platinum artist – has scored a total of eight top ten singles on Billboard’s country songs chart, the most successful is “Achy Breaky Heart”, which reached # 1 on the Hot Country Singles & Tracks and was also a success in the charts, where it reached # 4.
Beyond praise music, Billy Ray has also spent a good amount of time honing his skills as an actor. Also starring in the television series Doc and co-starred in the popular Disney series Hannah Montana, Cyrus has appeared in a handful of other shows like The Nanny, Diagnosis Murder, Love Boat, The Next Wave, and 18 wheels TNN of justice.
From the past, Billy Ray has been promoting his new album, “I’m American,” a collection of patriotic songs celebrating the 20th anniversary of its success, Some Gave All.
Referring to the album, Cyrus recently told the website of country music starts:
“[It's] a tribute to veterans and men and women who are sacrificing so much for our freedom and the sacrifice of his family are doing.”
In addition to promoting the new album, Billy Ray and his wife Leticia reporting, to be grandparents for the first time, the news that the largest of Cyrus’ Trace son and his girlfriend was pregnant Brenda Song was made public yesterday.
While Cyrus has not officially commented on the pregnancy, we’re betting “Grandpa Billy” will have good advice for the parents-to-be.
“I pray for my children to live their life with purpose, knowing that it comes to giving back and find out what you can do in this world I hope to make it a better place,” Cyrus told Parade magazine in the past when asked parents wisdom.
