Bieber Talks Paternity Claims

Bieber Talks Paternity Claims, Justin Bieber was in New York Wednesday to do the media rounds and clear his name in the paternity case against him.

Bieber first serenaded a crowd of squealing female fans on the “Today” show, telling Matt Lauer he was going to spend Thanksgiving with his family and avoiding the major topic of conversation — allegations he fathered a love child.

But later in the day, the 17-year-old pop star stopped by “The View” and the ladies on the ABC talk show couldn’t resist asking about Mariah Yeater’s now-infamous claims that she had sex with Bieber after a concert in October 2010.

She filed a lawsuit in early November requesting Bieber pay child support for her now four-month-old son.

The Canadian singer, who is dating Disney actress Selena Gomez, says he never even met Yeater. He also says he underwent a DNA test last week to prove he is not the father of her child.

“It’s about keeping the people you love close to you and remembering where you came from,” he said on “The View.”

“I wanted everything to be out in the open,” he went on, concerning the DNA test. “I think we’re bringing too much attention to this girl.”

The “Baby” singer explained on the “Late Show with David Letterman” that the test ended up being a pretty simple procedure.

“They just swab your mouth,” he told the late night funnyman, in a segment to air Wednesday.

“Is there disrobing?” Letterman asked him.

“No, no, I don’t think so,” Bieber replied.

Despite submitting his DNA, lawyers for the 20-year-old woman he is alleged to have slept with are now requesting another DNA sample be taken — with someone from Yeater’s legal team present, according to Gossip Cop.

Bieber’s camp has yet to respond to the request.
