Bianca La RussaBianca La Russa, Bianca La Russa, the daughter of the St. Louis Cardinals manager Tony La Russa, is no longer an Oakland Raiderette. The freshman cheerleader was forced to resign her position due to a back injury he suffered in the beginning of the season.

La Russa tweeted last night:

“I had to stop dancing with the Raiderettes, due to degenerative disc disease and multiple bulging / herniated disc … very frustrating.”

Although her career ended before it began cheerleading, La Russa was still staring at the bright side of things.

La Russa Twitter:

“Although this is difficult & disappointing, to continue running the risk of permanent nerve damage. Objectives are sometimes overwhelmed by ur ur limitations. On the positive side, at this point I do not need surgery … just a lot of therapy Many physical and checks with my orthopedist. ”

A cheerleader injured may seem a rare occurrence, but a 2010 report by ABC Cheerleading called one of the most dangerous sports. In 2008, there were about 30,000 mood-related visits to the emergency room.

Tai Bianca La Russa made the team in April and said it was a dream come true.

La Russa Twitter:

“A goal and a dream come true, I am a Raiderette 2011. I’m so excited about representing an organization that does so much good.”
