Beauty Queen Weight, A Mexican beauty queen says she was stripped of her crown because he won six pounds. Cynthia de la Vega, who was the first finalist in the Nuestra Belleza Mundo Mexico and is expected to compete at Miss World pageant in November 2011, officials believe that the competition was its title, because she could not lose weight.
“I was very sad and very cheated,” said the 19-year-old on “Good Morning America.” “I cried and cried and cried.” De la Vega says he did gain weight as he prepares for Miss World, but was not, “he said of the physical requirements for the competition.”
When the contest organizers formally announced the elimination of Vega, who said it was because they did not meet their obligations and lacked the discipline, not weight.
“It was a lack of dedication and discipline,” said Lupita Jones, Mexico’s first Miss Universe winner who is now the national director for the contest Nuestra Belleza Mexico, the statement obtained by ABC News.
Vega added that the “failed to meet agreed objectives and recommendations for preparation.”
De la Vega, who has since been replaced by Gabriela Palacio said she hired a nutritionist to lose weight and is “the best way before winning the crown.”
As for getting her title back, she says that is unlikely.
“I think it’s very, very difficult, because Mrs. Jones is very cold,” he said. “Once a decision is made, there is no turning back.”
