A couple in Newport, Penn., Were at home when a black bear attacked and fled. According to a report on CNN, Richard Moyer got up to leave the couple’s dog, when a black bear, the dog went inside and began attacking Richard.
“There was nothing in my mind that, ‘My God, we have to go from here?’” Said Angela Moyer, the wife of Richard. “I was like, ‘This is crazy.”
Angela said she was not exactly sure what he did next, but it was enough to chase the bear away from her home. Richard intervened at that time, which made the bear to attack again.
“I went and saw the bear on top of it,” he said. “He grabbed the bear to remove it, of course, and began to smash my head.”
The bear gave up at that point. After both Moyers care back home.
“I am not opposed to animals by any means and not a crime to take this, but I really hope they catch him,” said Angela Moyer bear.
Bears have been known to break into homes, sometimes killing people inside. Just last month a black bear broke into a house in Estes Park, Colorado, to eat from the fridge. An unidentified man returned home with his wife and son to find the bear and shot multiple times with a pistol. The bear ran away. There was briefly a question about whether the man would be charged with a crime, but the Colorado Division of Parks and Wildlife decided not to press charges. Division A spokesman said the Bears can behave more brazen as they approach the season of hibernation.
