Barron Hilton To Pay Millions For DUI Crash, Barron Hilton has lost a civil lawsuit filed against him by his victim drunk driving. Fernando Tellez’s attorney, said the Friday, July 15 the younger brother of Paris Hilton to pay the old gas station employee hit with his car in 2008 and 4.9 million in damages.
A civil trial signed July 7 revealed that a jury to pay and 3,000,000 for pain and suffering and 1.9 million for lost earnings, medical expenses and punitive damages has ordered the 21-year-old. He also has to pay to 225,000 in punitive damages and nearly 71,000 and interest.
About the decision, a source close to Barron told TMZ, “We disagree with the jury.” The source added, “Barron did not hit the operator. Barron knows he did wrong. It happened 3 years ago and has been responsible since.”
Fernando Barron sued in 2009 for injuries sustained after the heir to the hotel hit a gas station on the road to the Pacific coast with his Mercedes Benz. His lawyer argued that his client suffered “permanent disability” and has been forced to “undergo several surgeries and medical procedures.”
Barron was arrested on suspicion of DUI after blowing a 0.14 in the same day that hit Fernando. Witnesses said the hotel heiress, who was 18 at the time, was involved in at least one other vehicle before getting in the gas station where Fernando was working. He later pleaded nolo contendere to the charges.
