Bappi Lahiri

Bappi Lahiri, Bappi Lahiri Lahiri or Alokesh born on November 27 in 1952, is the music director in Hindi (or Bollywood) film industry. He pioneered the use of disco music in Indian cinema, and also sang some of his own compositions. It became popular in the 1980s with films like Disco Dancer, Namak Halal and Sharaabi among others.

Bappi Lahiri pioneered the use of disco music in Indian cinema with an Indian flavor. Most of his songs would be rendered by Kishore Kumar and Asha Bhosle. Vijay launched Benito and Sharon Prabhakar in the music industry. Alisha Chinoy and also used widely Usha Uthup for his compositions.
