Intuit has teamed up with Bank of America to create an online payroll service specifically for small business customers of the bank.
The service, called Intuit Payroll full-service deals with small business employee payroll and tax preparation functions of payroll. The new offering is based on an existing one: Easy Online Payroll. One of the main differences between the two is that the new offer full service ensure the preparation and processing of checks, while the online version sticks to direct deposits.
Said Ginny Lee, senior vice president and general manager of Intuit employees Management Solutions division, which provides payroll services to approximately 1 million small businesses:
“By partnering with Bank of America, we are taking the complexity of the payroll of its 4 million small business employers throughout the country. If small business owners want to do it themselves or we do it for them, we have the solution that best suits their needs. ”
One of the major extra points for small business owners is that the integrated service will allow them to handle this part of the operational tasks of an online venue, rather than having to visit two different sites. Bank of the U.S. relationship stricter Intuit is part of the bank’s campaign to deepen their small business services, the company plans to hire 1,000 small business bankers in 2011 and 2012.
