Author Buys River Tay Mansion, MILLIONAIRE HARRY POTTER author JK Rowling, who scribbled her first book about the boy wizard while an unemployed, single mother, has bought a 19th-century mansion.

The writer is to live in isolated Killiechassie House on the banks of the River Tay in Perthshire.

The luxurious property comes complete with a sycamore tree said to have sheltered Bonnie Prince Charlie during the ill-fated Jacobite Rising of 1745.

Rowling, whose books have sold in their millions, jealously guards her secrecy and has given strict orders that the price is not to be revealed.
