Australia Vs India, Captain Ricky Ponting scored his return to form with a scintillating century as Australia posted a competitive 260 for six in their World Cup cricket clash quarterfinal against India today.

Choosing to bat first, Ponting notched his 30th ODI century and 5th in the World Cup not only silence its critics, but also guide Australia to a total decent on a slow track and turning in the Sardar Patel stadium.
The 36-year-old Ponting, who has been under intense pressure because of the bad form of late, responded brilliantly, as he anchored the innings to score its first ton in 18 innings.
Furthermore Ponting 118-ball 104, Brad Haddin (53) and David Hussey (38 not out) were the performers for other notable champions, leaving the distinguished guests at a rate of 5.22 requesting to create a mouth-watering semi-final in conflict with Pakistan rivals.
