August 2011 Notable DeathsAugust 2011 Notable Deaths, This August, the world lost a lot of famous people. Here are some of the more notable deaths in August 2011. Jani Lane – lead singer of ‘order’ ex, 47, was found dead in a hotel room in Los Angeles.

David Honeyboy Edwards – Mississippi Delta Blues singer died at his home in Chicago, director Michael Frank said. Edwards was 96.

Sybil Jason – Former boy lost his battle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. His film credits include the 1935 The Singing Kid, in which he starred opposite Al Jolson and Big Shot little.

Croker ‘Glen’ James – Hackberry Ramblers front man, died at the age of 77.

Michael Rain – The TV actor was found dead in the Mississippi River, according to authorities in New Orleans. He had a recurring role on the HBO drama Treme. He also appeared in Breaking Bad and The Vampire Diaries, and had films in traffic and the Tree of Life.

Ross Barbour – The drummer for the Grammy-winning group of four freshmen, who scored hits with songs like Graduation Day, who spent Mood Indigo once and died at the age of 82.

Frank Potenza – U.S. TV personality Amado has died at the age of 77. Potenza was a fixture on the talk show late at night his nephew Jimmy Kimmel TV.

John Howard Davies – Director the producer died at age 72. Davies first appeared on screen as an orphan Oliver Twist in 1948, David Lean’s adaptation of Charles Dickens’s novel.

Jerry Leiber – The legend of the composer, died at age 78. Creator of the bloodhound Jailhouse Rock, King Creole and Elvis Presley.

Rhian Stoute – New York rapper, 33, was shot dead and lies in a van in Paramus.

Russell Armstrong – “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Russell Armstrong, 41, was found dead. He was found hanged. Is believed to be a suicide.

Rick RYPIEN – Centre Winnipeg Jets, was found dead in his home in Alberta, Canada. The death of RYPIEN, 27, was sudden and suspect.
