Atlantic City, ATLANTIC CITY – A chronicle the past and significant detail of the station, the other works to maintain and promote its future.

Nelson Johnson, author of “Boardwalk Empire,” The Northside, and Maureen Adams, vice president of finance for Harrah’s Resort and Caesars, were honored Friday night by the House of Greater Atlantic City for their respective contributions to the community.

Adams and Johnson were presented the John G. Fitzpatrick and Redenia Gilliam-Mose Community and Business Leadership Awards at the annual dinner of the chamber.

Fitzpatrick was a leader of engineering and former House leader, among other civic positions, while Gilliam-Mose was a community activist who has led the chamber, the Boys and Girls Club of Atlantic City and served as vice president of Bally’s Atlantic City.

Approximately 200 people attended the ceremony, held at Resorts Atlantic City.

Since the mid-1960s, the chamber is awarded each year to those of the community, and a committee of former recipients selects the recipients of news.

“We can honor those who really make a difference in our community,” said Ken Calemmo, chairman of the board of directors of the chamber.

In addition to the price of the room, Johnson and Adams have been presented with quotes from local politicians and everyone was welcomed in the short video tributes by people of their professional and personal lives.

McDonald says he looks forward to an arc of several episodes, but do not know if his scenes will be in Atlantic City, New Jersey, where politicians Nucky Thompson (series lead Steve Buscemi) pulls all the strings, or inside the Harding White House.

“It will all be revealed,” said McDonald. “These scripts are kept under lock and key until the week you’re going to do. I guess Nucky will put his nose into politics in Washington, DC, and have his way with things they need done, done, through the backdoor agreement that we have created the first time. It will be interesting to see what happens. ”

While a second season of “Law Harry” is an open question, there is no doubt that “Boardwalk Empire” is a success and a certified winner, with a Golden Globe for best drama, and a WGA award for best new series under his belt.

“Everybody loves this show, McDonald said,” and it is probably the best show on television, if you can call the HBO television. People who come out of nowhere, saying, ‘Hey, I’ve taken about the show, “he crosses the board, everyone from the guy who cleans your pool for the guy who runs the studio.

“It’s amazing how people love and meet this show the fact that it gets all the honors today -. Buscemi is perfectly cast, great game, a great actor. “
