Artist Sandusky State Mural, An inspiration mural in state college shows images of people who are leaders and accomplished great things in that area, which is why the artist says he had to remove Jerry Sandusky’s image. Michael Pilato wasn`t sure what to with his mural after the sex abuse scandal broke.

He received an email last night from a mother of one of the alleged victims asking him to remove Sandusky from the mural. Pilato agreed.

So today he carefully removed Sandusky’s image replacing it with a blue ribbon representing victims of child abuse.

The artist, Michael Pilato says, “On this mural there’s a cross made from steel from the twin towers and people that lost their lives on September 11th, there’s people on here that have done great things so I’m also doing it also for them.” When asked if he would be removing any other images, Pilato says he has yet to decide.
