Arizona Tornadoes, A second successive wave of powerful storms slammed into the central region of Arizona, on Wednesday, with the National Weather Service maintained a tornado watch in five counties up to 17 hours
The model storm began yesterday and the hardest hit of the Phoenix / Mesa area, according to the local ABC news channel 15, knocking down power lines and causing extensive damage to buildings in the neighborhood. More than 100 people were forced to evacuate their homes following the storm, the news station reported.
And on Wednesday, several tornadoes hit the north of this region, near the small town of Flagstaff. A local fire official told ABC 15 that the tornado was confirmed in the area around 6:15 the news channel also said that the National Weather Service has reported seven injuries and damage to about a dozen houses nearby.
ABC 15 has also reiterated the opinion of the NWS ‘for homeowners caught in a tornado, including the instruction to go to a basement and stay away from windows, if possible, covering the debris with cons blankets and pillows.
