On Monday, December 14, 2009 the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) gave final approval to award $ 6.2 million for the Arizona Department of Commerce Energy Office Arizona appliances implement Rebate Program funded by the Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
The program has a fundamental objective: to help individual consumers to replace old and inefficient appliances with new Energy Star appliances that are generally 15% -50% more energy efficient than devices that are qualified by Energy Star
