Aretha Franklin, (PEOPLE.com) - Surgery helped Aretha Franklin to lose 85 pounds. – Just not as surgery. This is the story of the Queen of Soul paste again as she pulls down the rumors about her health, this time the theory that she underwent gastric bypass surgery to lose weight.
“Certainly not – and would not,” Franklin, 68, tells Access Hollywood in a two-part interview to air Monday and Tuesday. “I heard that [rumor]. I said,” It’s crazy. “” Since the subject of a surgical procedure in December for mysterious reasons she refuses to reveal the health of Franklin and weight loss have been well buzz topics. In January, she said she was “not going to even address the” rumors that she had pancreatic cancer.
She did, however, offer a hint about this surgery, saying that the weight came out “of the surgery I had,” even if it does not specify the procedure.
“But it certainly was not obesity or what it is, gastric by – Yeah, I can not even tell you the exact name of it,” she said, adding: “It ‘ is really not necessary to speak of her personal medical [health]. ”
Last week, Franklin said Wendy Williams that she left fatty foods to drop weight.
Rumors aside, Franklin said he is not only to be lighter, but the feeling lighter and having “more energy.”
“The doctor told me,” he said, Ms. Franklin, you’ll feel better than you felt perhaps in or 15 years, “she said.” The surgery that you will add 15 years to your life. ” “
