Are Stoned Wallabies Making Crop Circles

Well, we had the same “say what?” reaction to the first hearing on this story. However, Lara Giddings, Tasmanian general counsel, recently told a parliamentary hearing on the safety of the poppy crops that animals are “as high as a kite after chewing on plants before trying his artistic touch to the local terrain.
“The one interesting bit that I found recently in one of my writings on the poppy industry is that we have a problem with the wallabies enter the poppy fields, get as high as a kite and spinning in circles,” Giddings said the audience.
And then do what any self-respect in such a state would wallaby: They crash.
“We see circles in poppy cultivation in the kangaroo industry are high,” said Giddings. Ok sure. But who has the wallabies stoned? Foreigners, that’s who,
