Are Banks Open On Presidents Day, Most banks are closed in Rhode Island on Presidents Day 2011; Rhode Island will be more likely to find their bank is closed on Presidents Day, also known as Washington’s Birthday. For example, Providence Area Citizens Bank branches in Rhode Island are closed on Presidents Day 2011 for “normal” bank. Local citizens lobbies Bank branch and drive-ins are closed on Presidents Day to make major banking. However, many ATMs and supermarket kiosks and banks are open for deposits and ATM single ATM cash withdrawals. The banks are closed on the anniversary of Washington will resume normal business hours, Tuesday, February 22, 2011. Although most banks usually get the post offices and other federal agencies in close for the Presidents Day holiday, there are some exceptions to the rule.
Wachovia Bank has announced its branches will be open regular hours Monday. State officials credit Union branches will also open. The opening Presidents Day for Wachovia, Wells Fargo now a corporation, is the result of the combination of Wachovia and Wells Fargo practices related to holidays, said spokesman Josh Dunn.

Wachovia has seen 10 public holidays, and Wells Fargo has seen six. A schedule of eight common holidays was passed July 1, 2009. Banks and post offices will reopen Tuesday, February 22. However, FedEx and other private companies will be open on Presidents Day. But, again, check with your local bank, because a tiny handful, such as Wachovia Bank locations will open. Mail will not be made Monday, February 22 and government offices will be closed for holidays.
