Apple WWDC 2014, All eyes turn to San Francisco as Apple holds its yearly Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), showcasing the latest tools and technologies used to create the apps used by millions of iPhones, iPads and Mac PCs globally.

Steve Jobs’ successor as CEO, Tim Cook is expected to address the crowds at 10am Pacific Time (6pm BST) on Monday, where rumour has it he’ll be joined by Dr Dre – rap mogul and cofounder of Apple’s recent $3bn acquisition, Beats Electronics – to discuss what’s next for the pair’s shared venture.

Thousands of developers are in attendance, hoping to gain an insight into the notoriously secretive company’s latest software developments and how they will affect their work. Such is Apple’s dedication to keeping things under wraps, this year’s schedule still bears cryptic session titles, including ‘Shhhh, Can’t Tell You Yet’, ‘Still Our Secret’ and ‘We’re Not Telling’.

This iron-clad approach makes it difficult to predict what the conference will cover beyond offering pure speculation, but there are a number of key topics it’s highly likely that Apple will address during the five-day event.
