Anna Chlumsky Veep, The child star in “My Girl” Anna Chlumsky has made headlines with her red carpet look at the premiere for her new show, “Veep.” Chlumsky was just an 11-year-old when she portrayed Vada Sultenfuss in 1991′s hit movie “My Girl,” where she starred opposite of Macaulay Culkin.

Appearing at the “Veep” event in New York City Tuesday night, the now-31-year-old actress turned heads in a form-fitting black gown with a plunging back.

In HBO’s new television series, Chlumsky stars alongside “Seinfeld” actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Tony Hale from “Arrested Development.”

The series, created by Armando Iannucci, is based on the BBC television sitcom “The Thick of It,” and follows the life of a fictional U.S. president. It is set to premiere on HBO on April 22.

Chlumsky has remained largely out of the public eye since “My Girl” and its sequel “My Girl 2.” The actress attended the University of Chicago in her native city and worked in writing fields before deciding to return to acting.
