Ann Curry's DebutAnn Curry’s Debut, “I’m Ann Curry, and I’m in … I guess nobody.” With that, the 14 “Today” veterans began her new role as co-host with Matt Lauer. “I feel like Cinderella,” she joked, squeezing the hand of Lauer. “It will be fun.”

After long and tearful farewell yesterday’s good to Meredith Vieira, the “Today” officially shifted gears to replace Vieira Curry and Natalie Morales Curry walks behind former full-time news service.

Curry was greeted with something more than self-deprecating humor, however. The former first lady, Laura Bush, she recorded a special video greeting, Curry congratulating her new role. But it was a second video – she of her husband and her daughter, Curry offered her love and support I finally broke down Curry.

As she wiped tears from her eyes, Lauer enthused: “This is an exciting new chapter in the history of the series, but it is a comfortable fit.”

Lauer then presented a video montage of highlights from NBC Curry – ranging from breaking news reports, comedy skits of freedom of movement, and the occasional awkward affectionately scam behind the scenes.

Jokes, tributes, and a few tears and was Curry’s “Today” officially begins.
