Anita Hill

October 20, 2010 by USA Post

Anita Hill, It is perhaps the most famous, “she said, she said” stage of American history. And now, after two decades, the nation had thought he had heard the last witness of Anita Hill during the confirmation hearings of Clarence Thomas, it’s back, gracing the pages of newspapers in the morning.

The news: Justice Thomas’s wife, Virginia, earlier this month called Anita Hill, now a professor at Brandeis University, looking for an apology. During the confirmation hearings of Justice Thomas in 1991, Hill said that Thomas, like his boss, had sexually harassed her in the Education Department and later at the Equal Employment Opportunity. Thomas vehemently denied the accusations.

Hill said he had no Mrs. Thomas October 9 voicemail as a conciliator.

“No doubt he thought the call was inappropriate,” Hill said through a spokesman for Brandeis. “I have no intention of apologizing because he testified truth about my experience and I stand by that testimony.”

Hill said he initially took the call, a Brandeis spokesman, said he arrived at 7:30 am on Saturday, was a joke. Were reported to campus security, Brandeis, said spokesman Charles Radin, in a routine alerted the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

“Good morning, Anita Hill, is Ginni Thomas,” was the message. “I just wanted to get through the waves and the years and ask you to consider something. I would love you ever consider an apology and a full explanation of why he did what he did with my husband. Therefore, to reflect and certainly pray about it and come to understand why he did what he did. Vale have a good day. ”

What do you think, LBers? Virginia Thomas was what was admirable, frankly eccentric, or political calculation? If Hill to take this opportunity to apologize?
