Andrew KoppelAndrew Koppel:The tragedy has been beaten to the family of veteran journalist Ted Koppel.

The broadcaster, the son of 40 years, Andres Koppel, was found dead this morning in New York.

A lawyer for the Housing Authority of the city, Andrew was discovered in an apartment in Washington Heights, where he was introduced earlier in the afternoon by Russell Wimberly, a waiter who had met at a bar in Hell’s Kitchen on Monday afternoon.

Koppel “was really in bad shape when he entered, he was very drunk,” Belinda said Caban, a resident of the apartment building, New York Post.

Caban and Wimberly said she called 911 after they found Andrew had urinated and defecated Koppel in bed medical personnel in. fainted dead at the scene said.

According to Wimberly, Andrew started his drunk around noon in the Smith’s Bar & Restaurant on 44th Street and Ninth Avenue. That’s where the couple met, drinking whiskey and making small talk before moving the bar to bar.

“There was a lot of alcohol. Do not take anything more [drug] around me, and none of us ate all day,” the newspaper said Wimberly. “We talked about our children … He told me he had a son and he loved [his] lot.”

Andrew lives with his girlfriend and her daughter.

It was the third youngest of four children of Ted Koppel and his wife Grace Anne. Nightline host is even comment on the incident and our thoughts are with his family.
