Since her death there have been rumors that left a series of previously unheard songs from behind, and her family have confirmed the speculation is true.
The album is called Amy Winehouse Leona: Hidden Treasures, and will hit stores on December 5th. Winehouse includes a song he wrote while on heroin and the other about her ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil had been unfaithful.
“I spent much time chasing Amy – telling him – I never realized what a genius he was,” the parent star Mitch Winehouse told the British newspaper The Sun for a special set of the album.
“It was not until I sat down with the rest of the family and listen to this record I fully aware of the breadth of her talent. From jazz standards to hip-hop songs that left me breathless.”
The album features 12 new songs. Mitch had not heard some of them even after death Winehouse.
His mother Janis has also heard the songs, but decided to go it alone as she felt it was a personal experience.
“One of the new songs on the album, in between, I had never heard before. It’s incredibly beautiful,” said Mitch. “If the family felt that this album was not up to others to Amy, Frank and Back to Black, we never have agreed to release it. We believe it will remain a fitting tribute to her musical legacy.”
Producer Salaam Remi and Mark Ronson have been working on the record over the last few weeks. Mark it was a good friend of Winehouse.
There were thousands of hours in the late pop star at the same time to wade through.
“When I heard that you hear again some of the conversations in the middle was emotional -.. It’s been hard, but has also been an incredible thing Amy was a talented girl,” said Remi. “I think it is something beyond her years. She has a body of work together to inspire a generation before birth.”
Among the issues highlighted are a cover of a Leon Russell song is for you, which showed Winehouse while she was struggling with her addiction to drugs.
Singing in the tricks that she was ending her marriage to Fielder-Civil, while The Girl from Ipanema was recorded in 2002.
Winehouse’s family has established a foundation in her name, with 1 € for each sale of the new album is going to charity.
Comments ad investigation last week Winehouse was found five times in the UK legal limit, drinking alcohol in the car when she died. No illegal drugs were found on her system.
