Amy Winehouse 2012 Grammy Body And Soul, On a night when the music world is still reeling from the shocking death of Whitney Houston, Amy Winehouse was honored at the Grammys, winning posthumously for her duet with Tony Bennett on ‘Body and Soul.’

During the pre-telecast ceremony, Bennett took the stage alongside Winehouse’s parents, Mitch and Janis, to a huge round of applause. “We shouldn’t be here. Our darling daughter should be here,” Mitch said. “But these are the cards that were dealt.”

Closing out the touching speech, Mitch added, “Long live Whitney Houston, long live Etta James, long live Amy Winehouse.”

The duet, which was featured on Bennett’s ‘Duets II’ album, premiered in September 2011 on what would have been Winehouse’s 28th birthday. All proceeds from the sale of the single went to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which aims to help those struggling with substance issues.
