Amy Henslee, (AP) – A 34 year old man has been charged with murder in the shooting deaths of a mother of two children and another woman after authorities found their bodies buried in southwestern Michigan.

Junior Lee Beebe of Bangor was arrested Friday by video to the District Court of Paw Paw with two counts of murder and two open counts of possession of a firearm during a crime. He was sentenced detained without bail.

The body of 30 year old mother, Amy Henslee, and 36 years, Tonya Howarth, were found buried in a wooded area in Bangor Township after a sniffer dog found traces of blood Thursday afternoon. Her husband last saw Henslee as he left her home for work Monday in Hartford Township.

Court-appointed defense attorney David Hunt said he could not immediately comment the case.

Police suspect Amy Henslee; a mother of two disappeared, deserting her two children after she put them on their school bus. Then came the news this morning. His body was found in Michigan, not far from her home. She died.

I hate to admit it, but I drew a sigh of relief after learning that she did not get off. It was not a bad mother! Just a woman in a horrible situation.

If that sounds cold, I do not mean it. My heart hurts for her family, particularly these two children. But when I see a mom has “kidnapped” her children, I can hardly believe it. Go ahead, call me naive. The women are accused of heinous acts against children all the time. There is certainly a priority for takeoff parts unknown for a wild ride.

But what struck me about the story of Amy Henslee was how ordinary it seemed. She kissed her husband goodbye, and then took her son to meet their buses. And then she was gone.

The type of mom who gets up in the morning to take her children to meet their bus does not fit the profile of cold, ruthless, violent, and ready to flee. Maybe I watch too much Criminal Minds, but there is usually a sign before someone simply “snaps.” And her husband, James Henslee, descripteion a woman who is extremely cautious about opening the door of her house to strangers does not seem the type to be wild type simply pack up and run one day.

Or maybe I too impregnate my new look with my own sense of self as mother. My daughter makes me absolutely Batsh few days. But that’s her job. And if I’m honest with myself, even after two days of snow in a row when I’m ready to tear my hair and the calculation means to pass on her grandparent one day, there is this part of me is sad when I see fire on her backpack and head to school with Dad. It can push my buttons like no other, but the man I love boogersnot little.
