American Music Awards Winners, Adele and Taylor Swift were big winners at “The 2011 American Music Awards” Sunday night, each earning three awards for the night. Nicki Minaj won two awards, making it something of a ladies night. Swift was named Artists of the Year, Country Female Artist and “Speak Now” won Country Album. Adele was named Adult Contemporary Artist, Pop/Rock Female Artist and her “21″ won Pop/Rock Album. Minaj was named Rap/Hip-Hop Artist and “Pink Friday’ won Rap/Hip-Hop Album. Below are the rest of the winners, and a gallery of performers from Sunday’s ceremony at the Nokia Theatre in LA.
Alternative Rock Artist: Foo Fighters
Contemporary Inspirational Artist: Casting Crowns
Country Male Artist: Blake Shelton
Country Band, Duo or Group: Lady Antebellum
Latin Music Artist: Jennifer Lopez
Pop/Rock Male Artist: Bruno Mars
Pop/Rock Band, Duo or Group: Maroon 5
Soul/R&B Female Artist: Beyonce
Soul/R&B Male Artist: Usher
Soul/R&B Album: Rihanna, “Loud.”
New Artist of the Year: Hot Chelle Rae
