American Music Awards, It might be a girl’s night at the American Music Awards this year with five charts of female artists at the top of the nominees. According to the Los Angeles Times, Adele, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Taylor Swift have been insured for at least three nominations each.
Adele leads all nominees with four nods, including artist of the year. Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift with her in the field, along with Lil Wayne, the lonely man in the category. Adele was also nominated for favorite pop / rock album “21.” Lady Gaga “Born This Way” and Rihanna “Loud” are also competing in the category.
Other nominees include Beyonce and Kelly Rowland goes against Rihanna for favorite soul / R & B artist, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne and Kanye West, s / Jay-Z for rap duo / hip-hop album, and Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars and Pitbull for favorite pop / rock male.
The best new artist field is also filled with Miguel, Wiz Khalifa, the band of Perry, Marsha Ambrosius, Foster the People, Hot Chelle Rae, LMFAO and Thompson Square competing for first place.
As to who is performing at the AMA, the Los Angeles Times reports that the appearances only confirmed by Perry and Pitbull. Safer than follows, however, last year three-hour show featured 18 performances. The winners of the AMA will be determined by online voting.
