American Music Awards 2011, The 2011 American Music Awards is expected to entertain music fans around the country with a range of performing talent. The show will take place in Los Angeles’s Nokia Theatre on Sunday evening, airing on ABC7 at 8 p.m. PT.

Adele the 23-year-old British singer, leads with four nominations. She is up for artist of the year, favorite female artist, favorite album and favorite adult contemporary artist. Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Lil Wayne and the Band Perry are not far behind with three nominations each.

Adele will be competing with Lil Wayne, Taylor Swift, Perry and Lady Gaga for artist of the year, the top prize.

The nominees for best new artist include Miguel, Wiz Khalifa, The Band Perry, Marsha Ambrosius, Foster The People, Hot Chelle Rae, LMFAO, and Thompson Square.

The show’s lineup of performers include: Christina Aguilera, Marc Anthony, Justin Bieber, Mary J.
