Now it is up to three: Haley Reinhart, Scotty and Alaina Lauren McCreery, all of which have at least a little country in them, a topic that has been very evident in this season’s contestants.
Ryan Seacrest said that more than 72 million votes on Wednesday night, the establishment of a Four Top voting record, and somehow fell short Durbin, and Haley, who certainly has a good voice, but lacks stage presence, art and the overall personality of Durbin-still here. And Scotty McCreery is still here.
McCreery also has a great voice, but it is 100 percent of the country, with little chance of ever radio would be a crossover artist, making his presence in the first three as a surprise, as the contestants musically dimension tend to garner the required support when it reaches the final weeks of Idol, the probable reason was eliminated metal rocker Durbin, Durbin despite their potential to cross showed throughout the competition.
But not over for Durbin, he will join the 10 this summer for a national American Idol tour and, of course, came up with a recording contract with someone, if it is not.
“I did so many things that never been done in this program before,” Durbin said after disposal, as tears streamed down her face. “In my eyes, in my mind, and I think I did what I came here to do, and that would give the opportunity of metal.”
Durbin then sang “Maybe I’m Amazed” once again walked through the audience and kissed his girlfriend.
Other highlights of the removal, on Thursday were: Ryan Seacrest fall off the stage on his way to hit a beach ball, performances by Lady Gaga, Enrique Iglesias and Jordin Sparks, and Steven Tyler premiered the music video for her new single alone “(It) Feels So Good.”
Lady Gaga was the mentor of the last four this week and had some difficult times with a particularly conservative group of finalists.
McCreery kissed the cross hanging after meeting Gaga.
“Everybody has a way of giving advice and get your point across,” said Scotty. “She has a very unique way.”
Gaga then approached James Durbin and put her hands on his hips to get it moving. Durbin later called the moment “uncomfortable.”
Alaina Lauren was upset about having to sing the word “evil” in his song he did not want people to think I was wrong.
Next week the last three visits are made to their places of origin.
