Amc The Walking DeadAmc The Walking Dead, U.S. AMC cable network says it has renewed its zombie drama series “The Walking Dead” for a third season.

Season 2 of “The Walking Dead”, which is based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman and published by Image Comics, began airing this month.

“Today we are pleased to announce that the” dead “live as we are proud to renew ‘The Walking Dead’ for a third season on AMC and globally, with our partners at Fox International Channels fabulous,” said Charlie Collier, president of AMC said in a statement. “We are grateful for the contribution of all front and behind the camera as we continue to make” The Walking Dead “a unique television experience. And we are very proud because viewership continues to set records around the world.”

Located in the months and years following a zombie apocalypse, the show follows a group of survivors led by police officer Rick Grimes, traveling in search of a safe and secure.

Andrew Lincoln plays Grimes. The cast includes Laurie Holden and Norman Reedus.
